What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way to provide funding and supports to people with permanent and significant disabilities across Australia.

Aspire Options is a registered NDIS provider (4050026611).

At Aspire, we work with you to develop a range of supports which enable you to achieve a life full of possibilities.

Who is the NDIA?

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) manages the administration of all NDIS funding. It can provide information about how the NDIS will work, whether you or the person you care for is eligible, and how you can take part. To contact the NDIA, you can phone 1800 800 110.

How does the NDIS work?

If you are eligible for the NDIS you will receive funding on an annual basis to purchase the services, aids and equipment that you have been assessed as requiring from the service provider of your choice, such as Aspire Options.

How do I know if I am eligible?

To determine whether you or your loved one are eligible for the NDIS, you can use My Access Checker.

You can also call NDIA on 1800 800 110 to complete an Access Checker over the phone.

To be eligible, a person must:

  • Have a permanent disability that significantly affects their ability to take part in everyday activities
  • Be aged less than 65 years when first entering the NDIS
  • Be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa or protected special category visa; and
  • Live in Australia where the NDIS is available.

 

What services can I access at Aspire Options?

Aspire Options is a registered provider in the NDIS (4050026611) being registered to provide the following services:

  • Capacity Building (CB) Daily Activity (VIC/NSW)
  • Early Childhood Early Intervention (VIC/NSW)
  • Community Nursing (VIC/NSW)
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Speech Pathology

What is a Service Agreement?

A service agreement is a document which Aspire Options will discuss with you prior to engagement of services which highlights:

  • Aspire Options Pty Ltd rights and responsibilities
  • Your rights and responsibilities as a participant
  • The services requested and the cost of services

When you are happy with the details contained within the Service Agreement, you will be asked to sign the document as a record of your consent for service provision from Aspire Options.

You will be provided with a copy of the Service Agreement for your records and Aspire Options will maintain a second copy.

 As the participant, you have the right to end the service agreement at any time with Aspire Options which will be inclusive of the notice period.
